UV Light Filtration

UV light filtration involves the use of ultraviolet light to kill pathogens, such as mold, viruses, pollen, or other allergens.  A filter traps the pathogens and the UV light kills them by breaking their molecular organic bonds.  This ensures that the air you and your family breathe is as pure as you can make it.

UV filtration systems can be integrated into your home's existing system and are available for both air conditioning and heating systems.  They can also be purchased as a separate unit.

Although everyone can benefit from the cleaner air that UV light filtration provides, these kinds of filters are of special interest to families whose members suffer from allergies or asthma.  The improved quality of air that the UV filters produces consistently decreases the environmental factors that lead to a lot of physical suffering for these individuals.

Remember that traditional air filters alone cannot combat many of these allergens.  In addition, a vaporizer or humidifier may be used for a child who suffers from allergies and is often sick; however, as discussed in the humidifier section, some types can actually increase the presence of airborne pathogens.  For such reasons, UV light filtration systems are often the best option.
