CooktopsCooktops, also known simply as stoves, come in many variations. They can use either gas or electricity for heating, and they can have different types of burners, such as coil, modular, radiant, or sealed gas burners. Many common problems occur with cooktops. One of these problems is that sometimes one or all of the burners of an electric cooktop won't light up. This could be a problem with the circuit breaker, and it's important to get this looked at by a repair person, especially if it recurs. Other times the burner may need to be replaced or the switch or wiring may need repairing. If you notice anything burned or charred near the burners, this indicates the need for replacement as well.
